The vast majority of down production requires either the death of the goose or duck, or the painful and inhumane practice of “live-plucking.” Whilst there are small scale practices which use the down geese or ducks have shed naturally, for the moment we have chosen not to produce garments using down; or a down alternative, which are often polyester-based.
